Another fan of Dead Snow. Not many people I know have even seen it.

It’s a pretty underrated movie, I think! Pulls off the comedy horror angle very well!

Seems to me the closest movie in spirit to Dead of Winter woul be The Road, which is basically a very dark and depressing zombie film… without zombies. It's post-apocalyptic, about survival, it has many traits you find in zombie stories, but there are no zombies - society collapsed through an unspecified worldwide disaster, most of the biosphere is extinct, the world has plunged into a crepuscular, perpetual winter; the only humans left are scavengers exploring the ruins of society for scraps of food, and cannibal clans who hunt the scavengers down.

Don't expect Mad Max or something of that kind, this is very gritty and hopeless realism .

I would also recommend playing (or watching one of the youtube movies assembled from cut scenes) The Last of Us. The story is fantastic and made the game be of my favorites of all time.

Night of the Living Dead.

Yeah, it has zombies in it but they’re not the antagonists, it’s the other survivors in the house who are actually against each other.

Just watched it.

Not that funny to me.

But, I don't like 'slasher' movies.

someone said comedy horror, so I was expecting something on the lines of Hide and Creek.

I mean, you kind of have to be a fan of that type of movie to enjoy it I guess. I'm a horror fanatic, so I found it really fun, but it's not everyone's cup of tea.
