My friends and I are planning to start a YouTube channel explaining the rules of different types of board games (for example: party games, role playing games, worker placer games ect..) and also doing game play. The only problem is we don't know where to start like what camera we should use or the type of lighting. We also want to be different from everyone else so what how can we do that as well?

Any suggestions on how to help us out?

I am in a similar situation myself, so I don't know how helpful this is. Usually the first step is research, go out and look carefully at other channels that play board games. What do they do that people like? If they are successful, then they did something right. Think about what makes your channel different, and look into branding.
