Did you notice how Jim & Beam crossed through the shady area in the last preview?

This changed their mood by one. Jim is pretty pumped right now, wonder what he’ll do with all that aggression.

Oh look, there is a civilian in the current area.
He’s not even supposed to be there, civilians usually don't stray into the outer districts. Jim is eager to find out what he’s doing. He’s ready to embrace his mood and do some violence… but then Beam steps in!

Wait a moment! Let me handle this one, mate. I'll have a word with him.

Beam uses her passive bribe ability instead, to spend the 3 scraps they have and interact with the civilian in a more diplomatic manner.

And so she moves away, Jim could only hear faint voices and the sound of scrap exchanging hands. Perhaps this is the person they were after. Damn it, he was so keen to test out his new hammer...
She got back with a new team member. The creature looked at Jim. The gorilla narrowed his eyes, fixed his hat, and looked back at it. The staring contest has started.

In Crisis at Steamfall, you will encounter civilians around the city.
In competitive mode the civilians are calm and encounter always results in gaining a civilian card.
The new party member will grant a passive ability, some special action and a quest you can follow to gain renown.
You may have noticed that we do not shy away from putting fantastic creatures in the civilian deck, but there are also some civilians in this deck that can be described as sane humanoids.

No they can't, never mind.

Hope you are enjoying the previews. Please let us know what you think.
