Hoping to get my nephew a nice game for his up-coming birthday. What do you recommend for a 6 year old?

What are his interests and hobbies or any subjects he's particularly interest in? What other games does he like or what level can he play? Would he like something competitive or something without direct conflict?

He has little experience with board games. He loves building and legos! Thanks for your help!

Most important follow-up question: will you be there to teach and promote the game or not?

Terror in Meeple City is great fun. You build buildings and then destroy them.

River Dragons - you build bridges.

The Little Prince: Make Me a Planet you get to build a planet.

Get Bit! is card game with lego type men in them with a shark trying to eat them.

One I've found that all like is incan gold/Diamant as really simple to play even for those with no game experience.

Rhino Hero - you get to stack cards into a tower - I don't like this one too much but many others do and kids seem to love it.

There are probaby more building games but I don't know of many?

My six year old is probably my most frequent gaming companion. For an actual board game, Ghost Fightin' Treasure Hunters has worked the best so far. We also play alot of card games, such as Go Nuts for Donuts, Okey Dokey and even Hanamikoji. But my recommendation for the best would be Ghost Fightin' Treasure Hunters.
