I am very interested in these two battles but don't have the space for both types of games.

What are the pros and cons of them and which do you recommend?

Since I am from Belgium, I preferred the more open battles around Ypres in CoG2.

The chit system in CoG works better for solo play.

Both CoG’s are out of print, so if price is a variable for you they can probably end up being pretty expensive. Eagles works pretty good solo, with the random events and the ammo shortage rule which hampers the Russians (half are placed by the Russian player and the rest by the Central Powers), plus a more offensive friendly CRT (as opposed to Glory). Glory’s End I didn’t enjoy as much because of almost every game ending with the inevitable stalemate (which is historical obviously).
