1- I’d love to see a cardboard construct to hold all the technology tiles at an angle instead of flat on the table so the tech tiles can be seen from across the table. Not needed, but very welcome!

2- personalized bags for tech, go etc with the logo on the bag

3- warp sectors

4- playmat!

5- quick set up storage solution (Plano boxes or whatever)

I’d love to see some official game variants. Solo, co-op (vs ancients), 2 v 2, etc. Plastic monoliths and orbitals would be nice. I’d also like to see elevated trays for the minis to sit on, or even stands for all the minis.

This is precisely why I'm going to have a hard time getting into the new edition. Because over the years, I've just added all that stuff to my eclipse collection. Maybe a nicely printed (and bound) download of the new rules will do for me...

Oh wait, they've changed the boards as well.

Hm.. Maybe I'll just ignore Source and stay with 1.6 then...

Beating a dead horse here but double-layered sheets. A playmat would also be more than welcome.

I hope there are no stretch goals. It's far more honest than planning the entire KS beforehand and then parcelling out the information over the period of the KS

I have a Game Tray for the techs but most people still cannot
see them because they are too small

we are constantly passing the damn thing around the
table - extremely annoying

the main reason we don't play Eclipse anymore

so, if EVERYBODY could see the techs without leaving their seat
OR
without passing them around every turn
OR
simplify the tech situation so being small would not be a problem

I would consider the next edition

More than anything else for 2e I'm hoping for a team variant, X players vs X players. We played this way a LOT in 1e, with our own house rules, and it's our preferred way of playing.

After a team variant
- Technology board/holder that can be seen across the table and passed around, like many of the easel ones in the files section.

- Map/board. I have a cloth one and it's great. Everyone should have one.

- Minis for every race in the game

The promo tiles - nebula, black hole, pulsar, supernova. These are by far my gaming group's favourite.

That's already planned for the 'command boards' ie, 'where all the cubes went?!'

I think?

That's why it's separate now. Double thick sheets are expensive to make, and take a lot of space, so don't really need to be duplicated per alien race possibility, just per player in the game.

Game Trayz!

Is has already been said in other thread that it will include game trayz .

Personally I would like to see way to buy every small and large expansions.

As for optional buy: Playmat!

Stretch goals or an add on:

Some super weapons/systems, I’ve a couple of ideas:

The chassis for Super implementation could be either:

1. Components that take up multiple squares on the ship blueprints.
2. A small sideboard for a Titan class ship blueprint, maybe with the system built in.

The weapon/systems ideas, based on scifi stories that might make for a fun game could be:

Black hole generators - One hit kills anything, no matter how many hull points.
C3 computer - the ship gives all others in the fleet bonus to hit.
Prescience device - gives all ships in the fleet shields.
Shield bubble - no other ship can be damaged until this one is destroyed
Planet killer - no combat capability, but can destroy planets, perhaps for victory points.

These could be accessed via stupidly expensive development tiles to make it a choice between a super power, or a well functioning empire.

Obviously these break the game, but it could be fun to mix it up.

The best way to implement that is via developments as in the expansions you “research” them (make it as stupidly expensive as needed) and give everyone equal shot at acquiring them.

I love the ideas by the way as they break also the upgrade wars dinamic

None. I detest stretch goals. Especially the slow but steady drip-feed that most kickstarters seem to do.
