Some edges of tiles have only one space against them while some sides have two that have a common border.
Does this affect movement? Where there are two spaces meeting a quarter or a third of the way along a side of the same tile can you move to the adjoining tile from either?
And can you move to either from a space on the next tile that shares the whole tile edge?

The reason for asking is that the rules only say "...to an adjacent space" (RR p10, LTP p7) but does not state anything about how long a common border the spaces share..

Also I note RR p10 and LTP p6 state that "...arrow on the top of each tile points the same direction as the arrow on the starting tile."
Why? What impact would there be if you didn't?

Thanks.

space adjacency does not matter about the length of the border between the spaces, so yes you can move to either space if they share a the border with your current "whole side border" space.

the Tile arrows really have little impact. It makes it a little easier to keep consistency, and prevent arguments about "gerrymandering" the map with fellow players. It can make sure that the corridor for HWY 74(?) is harder to get to via right to left searching... but I think its just to keep placement easier.
