This is my first game, an entry to the 2018 Two-Player PnP Game Design Contest, so here it goes:

Nap Wars is a 2-player light wargame set around the time of the Napoleonic Wars. Players move and fight with units representing Infantry, Cavalry and Artillery. In most cases, fighting units become irresponsive after a combat, so the player that can keep its units in good order for longer will have a decidedly advantage. But if things start to look bad it may be better to retreat and live to fight another day.

Reading through your rulebook, I noticed that eliminated units stay dead after a battle. Are there any mechanics built into your game that would allow for players who are behind to make a come-back? If not, then it sounds like a losing player will pretty much be behind if they lose a battle with massive unit loss (though not enough to trigger the 3 point rule).

Thanks for taking the time to look at my game.

Losing one unit shouldn't be much problem. If you manage to eliminate an enemy unit you both will be equal. The trouble starts when you have 2 or 3 units eliminated, although it also depends on the situation of the opposite player. If you feel like you are way behind with no chance to come back it may be better to give a General Order to retreat and save what you have left of your army.

I hope that clarify things. Let me know if something else is not clear.
