Dear Fans,

2 questions came up last night playing LoR campaing. Could you please check?

Beastmaster’s Stalker ability says: A monster cannot declare your Wolf as the target of an attack if it could legally target a hero figure instead. Its clear that it helps against the rangers as they often could hit others. However with a melee monster he can always position himself to be adjenct to the wolf and not to other heroes. So they could always kill him. The questions is if a melee monster can hit the wolf because standing next to him and not to other heroes, BUT he got for example 3 movement points left and with that he can target another hero. Is the monster forced to move more to reach another hero, or he can attack the wolf?

In Honor amongst thieves encounter 1, to crack the code it says: Once per round. as an action, a hero may arrempt to guess the correct order of rokens in the combination lock. It means that if 4 heroes standing on the exit tile, each 4 heroes can guess once on the same turn right? Or the heroes can make only 1 guess altogether each round? If yes there is no reason to send more then 1 heroes to the exit tile.

Thank you,
Áron

This is correct. Stalker is not as effective against Melee attacks as it is against Ranged attacks.

There was an errata/ufaq on this Quest:
Cracking the Code should read: “Once per round, one hero may attempt to guess the correct order of tokens [...]“. In addition, the heroes have a final guess (even if a hero already guessed this round) when the overlord has 6 fatigue tokens in his play area.

Thank you for the clarification.

It is clear now. Can I ask you a favor? Could you please recommend the most effective hero/class combo against the basic II overlord deck on LoR maps?

Usually we would like to experience ourselves but the thing is that our hero team started with Shadow Rune campaign and lost 6 out of 9 quests, then we played HoB and lost all the 17 encounters we played. We bought LoR to increase our chances with Treasure hunter but still lost the first 2 maps.

We are not very experienced since only playing 2 years but we are very strategic. Especially our overlord. We played the first 3 encounters in 10-11 hours with continous play. The problem is our Overlord never made mistakes as he sometimes thinking 10 minutes before a single move, and our 4 players hero team consits some less tactical minded players.

They are starting now to loose their mood to play descent because of the continous loosing.

I would appriciate to share your thoughts about the most effective 4 player team against the OL with basic II deck for LoR campaing.

We only own the base game, LoR , and 2 hero packs: Shards of everdark and visions of dawn.

If you don't want to influence others a private message would be fine for me as well.

Thank you in advance!
Áron
