"Dear" Editors,

I am writing in response to your hit piece entitled "Guess What's Coming to Dinner, Too?" published on February 27th, 2017. In it, the author was allowed to savagely tear apart the character of one V. Lesperance through half truths, manipulation, and mangling of the facts.

That you would publish such slander towards the modern day Atticus Finch is extremely disheartening! It used to be that a man who stood up to give excellent speeches bringing together the oppressed against a bumbling majority would be applauded and given his own weekend! Instead, you have made a mockery of a motivational speaker who inspired the joining of races together in a moment when forced conformity via magic was at its highest.

Why the government allows you to stay open, I'm sure I don't know!

Definitely Not a Wolf

Dear Editors,

In June's issue, you published an opinion piece entitled "Be Royal". I recognize that you don't fact check these things, but there is still such a thing as taste. Half a page dedicated to victim blaming and cultivating cults of personality is beneath the history of this paper!

Your guest author presented the case of Ame Kins as not just an unalloyed success, but a model of how all children should protect themselves from the dangers of a mob. The thinking presented therein was full of the fallacies that how a person chooses to comport themselves determines their status, and leaves the gaping issue of basically blaming those young people with ah... naturalistic instincts who express themselves for their deaths due to NOT strutting around and claiming fancy titles!

Imagine a world where even an unparalleled success at evading human hunters like Ame instead felt safe to be truly known by the people living in her town. Really imagine that, then realize what a tragedy she is that she had to hide among her fellow creatures with deceit and trickery instead, rather than just applauding her success at doing so.

Would you have published an article that was race-switched entitled "Be Park Rangers"? I don't think so.

Still Definitely Not a Wolf

To whom it may concern:

I refuse to call you "editors", because it has become very clear that no editing actually occurs at your rag. I also hesitate to call what you are doing "publishing", but this is in regard to your Evening 11 for Two column last April.

Rob Rorab's enterprises, village leadership, and timing make him the perfect CEO, but thanks to the articles starting with that column, we may never get to see him use these gifts for the common good again. You took a man who showed nothing but positive traits, who dragged his town from a rust belt wreck to a glory of industry, and you raked mud all over him, for what - merely because his particular field of production is neatly packaged dead humans?

Thanks to your slanted coverage, this very gifted man's career has been almost destroyed. Whispers of his past successes are used as arguments against him in boardrooms, against his leadership!

Even now, far removed from the event, I hear people use condensed versions of your articles as examples of why he can never be trusted. I hope you're happy, because I can promise you are all going to die soon, and it won't be pretty. Racism against wolves is one thing, terrible but sometimes understandable, but to destroy an upstanding human like this is just one step too far.

Okay Maybe I Am a Wolf

You may ask yourself, what makes someone BATSHIT CRAZY?! Urban Dictionary describes someone who is batshit crazy as "A person who is so nuts that not only is their belfry full of bats, but so many bats have been there for so long that the belfry is coated in batshit."

But DOES this describe our friends listed here: And IF SO who among them is the most #nuts#psycho#crazy#insane

BSC (batshit crazy) Award:
1. Lore - Pirate Werewolf - Cassy Link - Game Thread - Nomination Post
2. Carrillo - Baby Seer II - Cassy Link - Game Thread - Nomination Post
3. RoyalApe / MisterDeadpool - Werewolf Legacy 9er 1 - Cassy Link - Game Thread - Nomination Post

5. ljtrigirl - Catfish Werewolf - Cassy Link - Game Thread - Nomination Post
6. whirlingdervish - Simpsons Werewolf - Cassy Link - Game Thread - Nomination Post

In third place today is a BSCPriest

Spoiler (click to reveal)
Nominated by Sarah: In third is a BSCPriest from Catfish Werewolf, a game based on the TV show Catfish. It had a few crazy mechanics including four different seer-type roles and all reveals guaranteed to be false (players revealing as a role that is guaranteed not to be their actual role)! On day 1 the village lynched the priest who was afk, followed by an nk of the martyr. On day 2 one of the two wolves was lynched and then night 2 brought on a villager nk.

vanderscamp was the last living wolf with two auxes he was unaware of. On day 3 he claimed one of the seer roles and then had to replace out. He was in a really tight spot at the time and seemed to be fighting against a strong town circle that was finding one another and poeing the game with their shared seer views.

LJ replaces in and sees the notes vanders left and his claim. She does the math and realizes the seer claim is not going to work. She decides to go bsc and retract the seer claim and instead claim priest with a view on a dead wolf (the actual priest died day 1 but flipped another role)! She is able to ride this claim and survive the next two lynches while under a lot of pressure.

She was able to put herself into the mindset of actually being the priest and coming up with a logical back story to why vanders claimed seer/made his priest views.
This series of posts shows the progression in claims and how lj can masterfully wiggle herself out of anything!

ljtrigirl wrote:
Am I still claiming seer?

My refusal here is pro-good. There's no reason for me to firm up my claim today, with Royal being math evil to like 50% of the game and reading evil to several others.
If I firm up a claim, what will that change?

Congrats LJ! You crazy Bitch!

In second place we have a crazy Duo who entertained everyone with their shenanigans in Werewolf Legacy 9er 1.

Spoiler (click to reveal)
Rorab nominated RoyalApe and MisterDeadpool for their super wolf performance. Niners are a wily beast, that often require fast thinking and lots of frenetic play, and with the absence of reveals, are a playground for players to claim whatever they wish and potentially never even be countered! However, it takes a lot more panache to do so and completely sell the false world you've created in the way that these two miscreants did in the Legacy Niner.

Riding on a D1 Villager and N1 Seer kill, Deadpool claims Priest and that Rhand (the D1 lynch) was the Seer - this is countered by the real Priest, FaleohFang and Deadpool recants after a while. However, soon after Royal stakes his claim.
RoyalApe wrote:
Seer, n0 deadpool. Still holding my n1

It's a very ballsy claim, he clears his co-wolf, and despite not knowing the Seer is dead, he goes for the claim. Then firming up his view with a N1 clear of Mrfan and beginning to worldbuild.
RoyalApe wrote:
My n1 view as fan. Not wolf.
So this looks to be where we are at:

Royal - Seer (n0 gel, n1 fan - both clear)
Fal - Priest claim (rhand villy)
Sloth - not wolf, unclaimed
Deadpool - not wolf, huntillager
Fan - not wolf, huntillager
Rhand - d1 lynch, no claim, villy per Fal.

gdap - unclaimed
SerWave - unclaimed
Smug - unclaimed

[vote wave]

SerWave, the Sorcerer, is lynched and then Royal and Deadpool concoct the plan which will seal the game for them:
ljtrigirl wrote:
[dawn]

[killed RoyalApe]

You may post.

Deadpool NKs his wolf partner to ensure that his Seer clear on Deadpool is undisputed, and Deadpool duly accrues the final two mislynches to seal the win for evil.

BUT who is the craziest among us, you ask? ... come, let's find out together...

Spoiler (click to reveal)
Sometimes you have one of those days... you know the ones, where you just need to demolish an entire village and kill 15 folks. Well, this happened to be one of those days for Hannibal Wolf Quaseymoto in Massacre in the Village 6.

In a pressured D1, Quasey was forced to claim Cleric before being moved on N1 from Denton to Arnette. There he received a decent amount of heat again, but was then whisked to Crystal Lake on N2. And then on N3, this happened:

linguistfromhell wrote:
[killed Quaseymoto], who was ... Hannibal

Hannibal, you may or may not know, was directly responsible for the death of Dr. Strangelove.
... Hannibal is, well ... was set at DEFCON ONE.

[killed 4theta], a Villager
[killed absnook], the Witness
[killed Amaroq81], a Villager
[killed Benesephiir], the Armor
[killed dejojam1], The Bursar (Loudmouth)
[killed Kortemaki], the Insane Seer
[killed LightRider], the Possessed Villager
[killed Littlelambchopx], a Mason
[killed MunchWolf], a Villager
[killed nolemonplease], one of the Undead
[killed PaperF], the Apprentice Seer
[killed Phil Fleischmann], the Town Crier
[killed silverbonds], Villager #17
[killed thatfedoraguy], the Pack Wolf
[killed Vanderscamp], the Psychic Werewolf

Serious Sloth stands alone.

You can post if you want, Sloth ..?

So... let's backtrack and talk about how exactly Quasey managed this feat of greatness shall we?

Quasey was the Hannibal Wolf - a wolf that gains the power of any role they NK. On N1 in Denton - Quasey ate Shawna, who was Dr Strangelove - and therefore gained the ability and the spark to explode a village. However, he found himself whisked to Arnette that night, by Good Mover Smugvid.

D2 yielded some pressure, with people finding his claim sketchy - but there were other pressing matters in the village on D2 and so he survived - only to NK Smugvid. Now, at the time - Arnette was slightly confused about the NK, moving didn't seem SUPER worth NKing early - however to a Hannibal Wolf determined to explode the best village, it was indeed - and so Quasey moved himself to Crystal Lake using Smug's power!

D3, he rides his Cleric claim - and on N3, he has set his DEFCON level to explode if killed. So what does he do?

NKs himself - causing the biggest massacre in one village likely in Massacre history! The deaders eagerly awaited the explosion and it was just as enjoyable as anticipated =P

Roles:

Good Roles:

Villager (3) - Standard villagers. One villager has an unknown tough. One villager is brutal.

Seer - Each night, may choose to view any player. The seer will be informed whether or not that player is a wolf. Receives a random negative N0.

Aux Seer - Each night views a player to check for Aux Evil. Receives result of aux evil if viewing the sorcerer, mimic or traitor. Receives a random negative N0.

Priest - As long as the priest is alive, roles will be revealed on death. The priest is tough to one kill.

One-Shot Vigilante - Once per game (at lynch) may choose to kill another player. This will happen in addition to that day's lynch.

Evil Roles:

Werewolf - May kill a player each night.

Sorcerer - Each night views a player to check for Seer. Receives result of seer if viewing the seer or aux seer. On N0, receives a random negative view. The Sorcerer does not know the identity of the wolves. Does not count for parity.

Mimic - Each night views a player for their full role (including hidden villager attributes). When killed, may choose to reveal as any role that he has previously viewed. The mimic is Tough to one kill (lynch, NK). This Tough is optional. If the mimic views a wolf, the mimic will count for parity as long as there is at least one wolf alive AND will lose their tough. The mimic receives a plain Villager N0.

Traitor - Counts for evil parity.

No attempts have been made to balance this set.

Actually, I think I'm going to go ahead and claim. I feel like we can avoid some head to heads and some weird thoughts veering off from Paper as a cleared good. No RP here, I want to be really clear.

I'm the Seer.

Stone was my n0, hence my not-read-recruitment of him D1. Because the cub is a tinker, the cub can't be a n0, so I know he's definitely not that, Paper. =)

Sarah is my n1, and didn't feel like partners with Ortho. So barring her being a cub promoted on n1 before my view, I think she's probably good. I don't have totally definitive info on her, though, the way I do Stone. I do have a good tone read of her.

I am also holding Maxie's n0 aux clear, who COULD be a cub, but isn't the mimic. Unhelpfully, that person wasn't a mimic suspect. However, they also aren't the tinker villager?

With mimic extra voting, we're close enough in numbers I think we need to really have good together here.

TFang wrote:
Hey y'all, here for some questions. =)

Quote:
Why did you view Sarah?

This came from Irina before she decided she couldn't just let the seer be uncountered, but it is fair question, so I'll field it.

I didn't want to feed Irina info about the Seer's sticker so I could see what she'd make up. That's not happening, and I don't want to cover up info from it anymore for anti-FUD reasons. In reality, the Seer has the same TBD that Royal did: Friends Episode. Royal also thinks the Mimic's TBD might be this, so we've been using chat callbacks to make sure the chats it creates are by the people they say they are. (Friend Episode makes chats with random character aliases.)

Royal chatted to Sarah during D1, and I chatted with Royal. He specifically asked me to check her if he died n1, and I did. I wasn't against the view, I didn't get a lot of game content out of her D1, but I can't fully explain it without that being known.

Royal can still make chats when dead, so he is currently funneling me the info from dead chat. Ortho knows this already, so we won't be getting any cool evil slips, but I know what Tanner and Maxie have passed on. Irina is aux cleared, which doesn't cub clear her, but she's NOT the mimic. So she can't fake the Friends Episode sticker by any means I know of.

Other info I have, but haven't shared: what's up with the gun (but Paper isn't saying, so I want to back his play there) and the second mimic-clear. I've passed on that info to Stone via chat.

I haven't gotten time yet for a "judge reactions" read pass on the thread, but I think they'll be pretty fruitful to mine. I wish I could have waited for Chrono, but he was never going to be here in time and I'd rather not pile the last few hours of Monday with all this.

OK, so here's the thing. I didn't really want to do this, but I think I need to. Tomorrow I can't guarantee I'll have ANY time available before lynch and I don't want to tank this for the village. And we still have a martyr. I believe that Benes or someone he's in a chat with may already know this anyway, which is why I was picked as the wolf hit.

I am the actual Seer.

The N0 was indeed Beren, another reason why I think they might know I'm Seer already. They used Beren as the clear. I was very clear about Beren being my N0 with my initial vote and subsequent Good reads of him.

My n1 was stone. I really didn't get back to the computer until 1 minute to dawn. I had to put a view in quick or risk not only getting no view in but also in getting replaced out. I was on page 21 at the time and had no idea what was going on. Stone wouldn't have been my view choice had I known what was going down. But he was and he was NOT a wolf.

I don't know anything definitive about Royal. But Paper died lived thinking Royal was Evil. I didn't like Royal's EOD either. But I could be wrong there. I'm pretty sure I'm not though.

Considering where we sit on numbers for vote control, I think we should lynch either Benes or Tiger. I do not believe Rorab calls a fake aux hit on a real aux. I don't see the payoff there. But just in case, the safe lynch is Benes.

Martyr can protect me or they can go after the actual aux seer. If they go after me, we lose the martyr. If they go after the aux seer, we'll have that situation solved too.

Good morning, y'all. I'm sorry this didn't come last night, but I was way too tired last night to make sure I kept all the facts straight.

Royal and I had a jamming session in chat last night, and we are not sure Irina isn't the seer. We also think in the current situation, our ability to read Stone is fading and we can't trust it, so I'm not going to keep up this front anymore, more views or no more views.

Which is why I think we should be lynching VVV's face off.

Which is why I also wanted to lynch his face off.

He was a shield to me.

We need to lynch outside of claims though, because I don't want to be outted and I'd rather the wolves possibly not know better in case Amaroq is mimic and VVV is villager.
Your claim is more believable than amaroq's, so I think you are kind of outed as Priest. Bodyguard can protect you tonight, and you can live for like 3 more nights with your tough. I'm pretty sure Amaroq is evil, so I want him dead.

No Crimson it's not a priest claim.

My moving off of priest claimants is a rather obvious sign that I'm saying I'm not the priest.

I was hoping to see more hunting by now since we didn't do it yesterday angry

I'm the actual Seer

N0 - Beren - I couldn't make this shit up.
N1 - Benes
N2 - Shawna - not wolf.

I still think stone is good. I think Rhand is good.

I think there are 2 evils in mono, chrono, light.

[vote ink]

Lynch him today. Other wolf will need to convert their cub so I think I can get two more views too.

Alright, whatever, Im the Real Priest, pals! Once I get home Ill explain stuff!

PaperF wrote:
Okay! I obviously knew I was the Priest, so I didn't mind whoever got lynched because I knew both were evil. The reason I wanted to throw shade into stone was because if amaroq got lynched and got revealed as tough wolf, then stone was very likely to be aux and maybe was going to be NK? Yeah, maybe I was too anxious into claiming and was hoping that one of them was going to be lynched.

The other possibility is that amaroq was mimic and revealed as priest, which doesn't make sense for a mimic to do that. If stone is tough wolf, then he will going to eventually find out amaroq was fake and wolves would have find out that the priest was still around.

I was happy when stone countered amaroq, I knew that both were lying and I gave stone plenty of space to retreat from his claim. He didn't, so I assume that he's still countering amaroq, so he has to be evil. My strategy? I wanted to throw shade into stone being real, because if he's an aux, he was going to be NKed. I only claimed because it helps people get a more clear image of what's happening and because people literally asked.

Wolfie 11er

Roles:

Is it bad that I kind of like this set and want to try it?
