how do you distribute the attacks of ranged monsters? Evenly, like melee attacking monster? and what if two ranged monster have LoS to all 4 accursed? Who do they attack? Randomize? Or the closet?

Heyhey Hannes

Rulebook page 16 Monster Turns

"Assign the Hits as evenly as possible"

So you roll all attacks of Ranged foes of the same type at once and then Assign the rolled Hits as evenly as possible and if less Hits than possible targets take the nearer accursed for Monsters arent as dumb as one might think and will choose the more obvious target rather than the accursed another 100 feet farther down the corridor

Cheers now hope you fight the Monster till the Dungeon comes out of the dark

Greetings peter

We had been playing that each ranged monster picks a target before we noticed this rule. I like the idea of streamlining the hit distribution, but it seems like there will be a lot of cases where it's ambiguous - e.g. only one ranged monster hits and there are two Accursed at the same distance. In that case, should we randomize or choose consciously? (Obviously we can house rule either way , and since we're playing more casually we might choose, but I'm wondering what the intent was.)

Hey there,

Official rule is random choose the target accursed by using the accursed tokens and draw one at random.

Hope that helps but as you said yourself let the Monster hit that Accursed you See fit. If you wanna put in theme take the nearest accursed to the monsters for he will be easiest to target (just thematically for there is no such rule in gameterms)

Cheers and have fun
Peter
