Hi guys, quick question about one of the Ooze cards:

Spoiler (click to reveal)
One of the cards causes 2 damage to the Ooze and then it duplicates itself. What happens if the Ooze is at 1 or 2 health? Does the damage occur first and it destroys itself before it can duplicate? Or does it duplicate itself first and then take the damage?

Cards always act in the order described

Damage first, then, if still alive, duplicate.
We've had scenarios end due to ooze suicide.

Thanks, I played it correctly then. Although it didn't make a difference in the end... playing the Abandoned Sewers for the first time and it battered my Brute and Scoundrel

I'm thinking you haven't yet encountered

Forest Imps. They are much, much worse. Ooze are adorable in comparison.

Ooze looks scarier than they are. They kill themselves all the time.

And they move really slowly, so you can just run away from them once you've killed everything else in that room.

We did that one time, we literally left two oozes in a room and ran into the next room and let the oozes kill themselves eventually (they were eight oozes by the time they died).

You know that the newly spawned oozes don't heal, right (they are spawned with lower max HP)?

This is not true. Nowhere does it say that the HP they are spawned with is their max HP.

What it says is that if an elite ooze has more current HP than a normal ooze's max, then the spawned ooze spawns with max hp of a normal ooze.

OK, you are correct.

You can still run past them and make them follow you. By the time they catch up (if they live long enough), they'll be in a nice conga line that allows you to pick them off one after the other without taking much return fire.

Sometimes you get lucky with splits and no heals, but high-level oozes are the most terrifying monster in the game, right up there with Savvas. Once they get a good base movement stat at level 4, they are quite capable of chasing you down from the previous room and firing a half dozen poison arrows.
