My friends and I have been playing a campaign as a group of 5, with the rule Isaac suggested we play the scenario at the (avg party lvl + 2).

We're getting close to being on scenario level 7 now, and I wanted to see if anyone had the alpha cards for monster level 8 or 9. Or what numbers people used to extrapolate out for higher level monsters.

As far as I know, we aren't close to getting retired characters, so we won't drop in level for a bit.

Thanks!

Are you sure its not average party level divided by 2 (as per RAW) plus 2?

with this rule, the maximum normal difficulty of a 5 player party is calculated like this:

all character levels summed 9+9+9+9+9 = 45
average party level 45/5 = 9
divided by 2 = 4,5
rounded up = 5
plus 2 = 7

the only thing you can not do with a five player party is to play on hard or very hard difficulty, but you still could swap out some normal enemies with elite enemies if you want to increase the difficulty.

Monster level 8 and 9 were scratched in the alpha in favor of rotable monster stats. Level 7 monsters now roughtly have the stats of the old version of level 9 monsters (growth became exponential instead of linear)

This sheet should be helpful:

If you're winning comfortably at level 7, I don't think increased monster stats are going to stop you. Try other methods to make the game more challenging - reduced small item limit, requiring all battle goals to be complete before the scenario is won, starting the monster deck with 10 Blesses, etc.

This is nice. I would move the Scenario Level column to the far left. Put the word "Level" on the second row. Then make the column width the size of the word "Scenario". But that is just my OCD talking. : -- )

Can we expect official 5+ player support in the upcoming expansions?

Here you have a fancy version. I didn't had the time in the morning to do that.

That will be hard to manage, but I can talk with Isaac about it.
