It has a nice art presentation, theme I like, and praise from Marco Arnaudo. The price also seems too good to pass up. I will be looking critically at the solitaire variant, however, as that's what motivates me to buy or not to buy games...

The solitaire variant is very strong and provides a similar challenge to the two player game without cumbersome AI overhead.

Why is it so cheap? What is going on here?

It looks very interesting! But 14$ shipping to Europe is making me think twice right now.

That was my curiosity, too.

Question: Why did two of the paid reviewers compare it to Twilight Struggle? I haven't played that, but from what I have gleaned of TS, TA seems like a heavier game, and DP not as much. Am I wrong? (I would think if there was a similarity, that Marco would draw the comparison, but he did not...)

Phil Eklund's games are like a bar of gold from a complete stranger.

Area control, CDG, using cards played by your opponent for your own benefit (not to mention the Soviet element ). Whether it is enough or not, I guess is in the eye of the beholder.

Will there be a German version through a German publisher by any chance?

PS: Yes, $14 for a $32 game is just inconceivable.
