If I get hold of a French language single card of Rey to play the dice with my 2p starter set, the card might be hard to use, but the die fine, right?

The dice contain no text. Only image, symbols, numbers and colors.

Yes, but be aware that there are 2 different versions of Rey and their dice are NOT identical !!

You need a card+die from a french 2p starter set !

Yes the dice are language independent. Just remember to check the die, usually the blank side for the die number and symbol to match it with the correct card.
