Yet Another "Most Fun Classes" Poll!

Why the devil do we need another one of these? And this one has 17*3 = 51 lines to fill? shake

Here is an explanation: I retired my Brute at an (early) level three and I am playing Triforce right now. The Brute was simply boring and the Triforce hopefully develops into more "yeah" than "okay" as it is right now.

I want to - try to - find out which classes have the highest development potential.
Which ones are already fun and do not need the higher level cards and perks?
Which ones start lame and end cool?
Which ones are just plain and simple boring?

I will try to do some kind of analysis if there is enough input (n > 100 at least)!

It should be obvious, but: Please, only rate combinations of classes and levels that you actually played!

Poll
How good are the GH classes depending on their level?

Expert = 6-9

First analysis (n = 44, total) as of 2018-04-24

So, what do we see here?

1) Not enough votes for many of the locked classes to show relevant results.
2) Almost all classes show the expected development = more fun at higher levels.
3) An example for a result:
Cragheart and Brute increase the same amount of fun. But the CH starts at "cool" and the Brute at "average". So, to answer my original question. The Brute does develop and it would be worth playing him further. An expert (= level 6-9) Brute is as fun as an in-between 'novice' to 'intermediate' CH.
4) Music Note is fun and even develops a lot, too.
5) There is really, really no love for the Tinkerer here.

I will wait for more data.

What do the numbers mean?

I translated the five categories to these numbers: -3, -1, 0, +1, +3.
The color scales show the trends:
red to green ==> How much fun is the class?
red to blue ==> How much does the fun change within the level jumps?

As I wrote on top of the poll - well hidden :-)

Novice = Level 1-3 = Starting this class
Interm = Level 3-6 = I know what to do with this class
Expert = Level 6-9 = I know this class and all its moves by heart

More explanation? Sure, gladly!

A Cragheart is diverse and fun from the beginning. Level 1 cards are cool already.
The Brute is kind of boring. Do the high level cards make more fun? Or does he stay 'meeh'?
A Spellweaver is cool and even gets a lot cooler.

Does this help?

Not really no. You didn't answer the first question.

Also I think it was rude to assume I din't see the text at the top of your poll.

Your terms intermediate, novice and expert is really throwing me. Who is the Novice?

This is what I think you want. You want people to rate each character class three times. Three ratings for each based on how fun they are at each of 3 level ranges.

For example I have played Brute to 7th level so far. According to you I am an expert maybe? so should I just use the one expert row or should I use all three?

Thanks for more questions!

It was not meant to be rude, I apologise. It is just easy to not see it with this large table.

If you played a Brute from 1 to 7, you can rate him three times.
How fun was it with the cards from the beginning (Level 1 to 3)?
How fun was he after you learned more about it and had access to higher cards?
How fun is he if you have very few beginners cards, a lot n>1 cards and improved/specialised equipment?

If I am at prosperity 5 in one year, is it worth to start a Brute again? Or is he still boring? Did he evolve? But maybe Saw evolved more.

The standard "How fun is xxx?" gives mixed results for Level 1 and Level 8 chars, so I tried to differentiate.

Again, thanks for your questions

I'm pretty confused about what level ranges Novice, Intermediate and Expert mean. I treated this as levels 1-3, 4-6, and 7-9.

Also remember that these rankings are for personal fun level, not power level. Saw is the classic example: an objectively strong but disliked character, because most people don't want to be a dedicated support, whether it's a video game or a board game or a day job.

Hi Robert.
On top of the table - well hidden - is written:

"How good are the GH classes depending on their level?
Novice = Level 1-3
Intermediate = 3-6
Expert = 6-9"

So, you made the correct assumption.

And, yes, it is about the fun to play the class at a certain level. It is not about the power.

I posted a first analysis of the poll below the original table (post #2).
