Great tip Russell, I was not aware of that.

I only found it out when I clicked on shipping options. I have a mate who lives in Oxford, so was thinking of asking him to pick it up, but in all reality I haven't seen him for about 3-4 yrs so would probably never get the game!

Yeah, you made me worried at first but seeing as i could buy multiple copies of a game tends to make me think they don't have multiples of the same game in the cafe side of things

Hi Max

I'm oxford based and a huge user of Thirsty Meeples. FYI, they have a separate warehouse for games (they also keep the UKGE games library there) that they sell through web, they only sell new games (in shrink). It also feeds the games for sales section of the shop. They have never sold a game that they have put on the cafes gaming shelves for customers to use.

I just got my copy of Noria today, I'm lucky to be a 5 min walk from work so could avoid postage ... guess myself and all other Oxford dwellers are very fortunate

Yeah I am 100% sure they are new games. If you are going to UKGE they will have a stall selling new games separate from their game loan stall. They are worth checking out, in the last two Expos I've bought games from them I couldn't see at other stalls and a decent prices.

As mentioned above their warehouse is in a separate town and all the retail restock is delivered into the store from there.
All online orders are shipped from the warehouse and nothing to do with the cafe.
Their game shelves for playing in the cafe are totally different to their retail area.
You would never end up with a used game.

They are 100% legitimate and 100% lovely.

Yep, I can 100% confirm this. Great retailer, and the cafe is a great boon for those of us in the Oxford area. Highly recommend a visit, but make sure you book as it can get busy!

I made that mistake on my only trip to Oxford, my friend and I left left disappointed, to rejoin the stag weekend we were on.
