Session Report - Devastation of the Indines


This weekend I choose to play Devastation of the Indines. This is one of my favourite games, as the rules are clear and very easy to follow and all the characters are unique and all have a different playstyle, personally i find the puppet master my favourite as the ability to be able to change your position every turn is very powerful.
We played with out



I played Marmalee, this was the only way to get her to play as she hates playing against the puppet master.

Overall, this was an alright game. It would have been better if i played a better character, as she just played 'the stun game'. Still i expect to win when i play against her as i am 15 years of age and she is 10.

Yeah, Marmelee's kind of hard to work with as printed. Not impossible, but you need a mental lock on your opponent's respect levels, and one mistake can easily cost you the game. A strong Marmelee can at least force their opponent to work, but it's an uphill battle.

I feel like Tanis should have a hard time dealing with Karin's mobility, but that requires the Karin player to understand how Tanis' ability works (and how to punish it). At the same time, you can't rely on Jager's positioning traps against Tanis the way you can against other characters, so that probably evens things out a bit.
