Hi,

is there a list or a thread I could subscribe to about Kickstarter campaigns which are geared at blinging out games (e.g. boardgame inlays, coins, realistic resources, Stagmeyer's treasure chest etc.)?

Thanks for letting me know

There must have been a moment at the beginning, where we could have said no. Somehow we missed it. Well, we'll know better next time.

That's a nice idea, like a Geeklist or something.
I don't know of any off the top of my head.

The thing is, ideally Kickstarter might be the way it gets initially funded, but after that it should just be purchasable as a retail item.
Stonemaier's Realistic Resources/Treasure Chest is one example - you can buy them off of Top Shelf Gamer even if you didn't kickstart.

One flaw in BGG is that they don't allow generic game accessories as a database item. I think it's only allowed if the accessory is specific to a single game. So those wonderful Treasure Chest realistic resources cannot be in BGG as an item, because they can be used for multiple games.

I have no idea why BGG is resistant to this. It would be a great resource to gamers to have generic accessories as items, and in the item it could list which games it can be used for. In turn, on a game's page, it could link to the accessories compatible with that game, if you want to bling it out. These could all be ignored for those users who don't care about them, but it would be a nice resource to have, for those who do.

In the absence of that, I guess go to the game pages for your favorite games, and look at the image galleries to see how people bling them out. You could also make a post in the game's forum asking for "bling" ideas.

But bottom line I'm not sure how whether it's Kickstarter or not is relevant - unless you're looking for those annoying "kickstarter exclusives" that some campaigns have cool

This great blog does all active KS campaigns, sure worth subscribing to. https://boardgamegeek.com/blog/3021/kick-table-kickstarter-m...

Do you know about geekfeed? It is an easy tool to allow you monitoring the forums for the games that are in your collection. Chances are someone will post when a KS campaign for an add-on is going on. https://www.boardgamegeek.com/geekfeed.php?action=viewrecent...
