Maybe I just haven't been reading well.

But are there any more elaborate rules for Time Ranking (yellow jersey), other than couting extra turns for second, third, etc?

The files for Tour de France stages are brilliant, and a lot of times include points for different hills, mountains and sprints. But how do I make up a 'time' ranking? Simply doing one minute per turn is all but elegant.

Did I miss rules? Are there any variants for seconds per square/turn?

Also does anyone have a files, excel or something, to keep track of scores for multiple stages?

As you have already had the indicated, many players do it many different ways.

To make it rather simple, I have three different time schedules for the three different terrains. On flat sprint stages, each turn represents one second; on hilly terrains (category 2 or less) each turn represents 20 seconds; on mountain terrains, each turn represents 40 seconds. Lots of different ways to do it. That’s what I do.

Or count spaces as 1 second per space, if you don’t want to race all the riders to the finish line.
Uphill space = 2 seconds
Downhill = 0,5 second

Counting spaces is another good way to do the same thing.

One idea to add to slotracer's suggestion: If riders are connected without a break, give them all the same time.

Edit: got Slotracer's name wrong. Sorry. blush

Of course, then they come as a pack.

I sell slotcars that you can race on a slotcar circuit as a slotracer.....my website is www.slotrace.dk
