Stop touching me!
Here's a fun variant to add point loss to the game:
Whenever a player rolls a train wreck (no scoring dice when rolling all 5 dice) the wrecked player hands the dice to a second player (any other player at the table). This second player rolls a normal round, but instead of adding the points to his own score, the rolled points are deducted from the original player's total. Scores cannot go below zero points. Play then proceeds as normal with the person next to the orignal roller.
There's one catch: If the second player rolls a Train Wreck while rolling against the original player, the dice get passed back to the original player who now rolls point deductions (multiplied by 2) against the second roller. This back-and-forth rolling between the two players continues (with the multiplier increasing by 1 each time) until someone either wimps out or finishes a roll with some points on it.
Since train wrecks don't happen with great frequency, this variant adds a fun twist to the game without completely dominating it. It's always fun to see the look on the face of a player who rolls a Train Wreck while rolling deductions against you.
