In a few months I am going to be in Amsterdam for a couple of days. Does anyone have any recommendations for a good board game store in Amsterdam?

Dean

P.S. Even though this is not the right site for it, can anyone recommend a good comic book store in Amsterdam?

Friend & Foes near De Pijp (Van Woustraat 202-A, 1073 NA Amsterdam) had a good selection of games when I was over there last year.

Friendly staff too.

You could try the Gamekeeper in the Hartenstraat. Lambiek in the Koningsstraat is the oldest comic book store in Amsterdam. (Though I have not been there for years, it was one of the best)

Lambik is more for comics. Gamekeeper has a large selection of games, also in English. But they are generally more expensive than all other stores.

Amsterdam has ABC: American Book Center who have a nice selection of board games in English for normal pricing (cheaper than Gamekeeper).

I would recommend traveling to Utrecht (half an hour by train) and visit the great stores there. They've got multiple good shops with a great selection and fair pricing.

I'm afraid the selection at ABC has been shrinking a lot, lately. That shop is at Spui, near the Kalverstraat. I don't think Lambiek is selling games.

+1 for Friend & Foes. I've been there only once, but it was the best board game store experience I had in Amsterdam.
