Hi all,

As Matagot did with the black power tiles from the Ta-Seti expansion, Jacques & I will reveal the new elements from the upcoming Seth Expansion !

With this expansion come new power tiles, new ID cards, new creatures, new combat cards…

As you might know, this expansion turns Kemet into a “1 vs all” type of game. One player will have the opportunity to play the powerful god Seth.

So we will begin with the purple power tiles. Those tiles belong to Seth.

We will try to reveal at least one element per day, so you have time to try to guess what these powers do.

Of course, We'll start with level 1, then level 2 and so on.

We advise you to read the rules in order to understand the effects of the tiles

So, let’s begin with the first of the new purple powers :

Each prayer action performed by the alliance awards only 1 Prayer Point.

Seems a little strong for Level 1 though...

Congratulations, Don Sombrero, you're close to the truth (there's a little subtlety).

In fact, the official wording is :

"Energy drain : Gain 1 PP whenever an opponent uses the Pray action"

Remember that alliance players can buy Seth power tiles (if fulfilling the conditions, as precised in the rules : https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgameexpansion/254543/kemet-se...)

The following one :

Have fun

Going off of the illustration, it looks like a corruption tile to me.

Is it corrupt a unit from three different troops to make a new troop?

Each opponent (3 maximum) loses a troop. For each troop lost Seth gets to create a troop of that number.

You're right !

With this tile, Seth is able to begin a "lot of units" strategy.

As you may have read int the rules, the alliance is able to purchase purple power tiles. But you can notice that we designed the level 1 purple tiles so that they are less useful to the alliance than to Seth.

This is particularly obvious with the next one :

Hmmm I don't see the extra movement? Just +1 strength when attacking after using move or corrupt

Right.
no extra movement.
The red arrow means "while attacking"

Hi,

You gave a "collective" good answer.

This power tile is strictly linked to the corruption abilities of Seth.

The official wording :
Servile corruption
+1 Strength when Seth uses the Corrupt an opposing troop action or the Corrupt a creature action. This tile is not useful to the alliance.

Let's now unveil the last Level 1 purple power tile :

Does this allow you to look at an opponent's DI card(s) during the night phase?

I mostly agree with that thought, but only seth can see one alliance member's DI cards.

That's it !
With this tile, you can look at all DI cards going to be deal to all your opponents.
But the cards will be reshuffeld before being deal. In that way you will not know who will have wich card. But you will know which cards are in the game.

Let's now upgrade the tiles revelation with this lvl 2 power tile :

You're so close to the answer.

You won't believe the number of table colors we had to try to balance this tile.

Correct me if I am wrong but. The purple tiles were supposed to be used by all the players, even without the seth expansion itself.

The official wording :
Servile corruption
+1 Strength when Seth uses the Corrupt an opposing troop action or the Corrupt a creature action. This tile is not useful to the alliance.

How is this useful ?

Haha - I fully appreciate how much effort must have been devoted to playtesting
