Played a couple of 2-player games with my
wife and couldn’t help but feel like the game
was over way too fast.

Does anyone else feel this way?
Was thinking about playing to
5 port tiles instead of 4. Any opinions?

I agree it is pretty fast but at 2 players it makes sense, I mean a full 4 player game is about 45 minutes, so it makes that with less players it would be shorter.

I kinda like how short it is though, means we can play it a couple of times. I don’t know if you’ve tried it but I find that mixing it with spice road and doing that variant makes the game feel a little longer.

We haven’t tried the sand to sea
Version. Might try it tonight.

Was thinking it might be even faster.
seems like you’d have tons of market
options to use.

It does still play quick but the added options seem to make it more thinky so it feels a little longer I haven’t timed it chances are it’s still the same but I’ve found that it makes me feel like I’ve played more of a lo ger game.

Agreed. I was wondering whether it would be worthwhile shuffling the Closed Port tile in the top 2 or even placing it on top of the stack. As, in some games it doesn't come out for two-players.

Playing until the 5th VP tile sounds like it would be worth a try.
