Hello everyone!

I have designed a promotional scenario to be played at places like conventions, where we want to give players the feel of the changes Fenris brings to the game without actually spoiling anything from the campaign. If you would like to test it out, but you can't make it to Gen Con, Dragon Flight (in Bellevue, WA), or SHUX (in Vancouver, BC), you can access the file here and play the test scenario before Fenris comes out.

Is there any plans to adapt the scenario for use with the Automa, or will solo players just have to wait for its release?

Looking at the rules, the easiest method would just be to have the modified rules effect only the player and the automa runs as per normal (but perhaps with a 10 coin bonus at the end to represent the rebuilding tokens that it 'collects'), but that may not give the full feel intended by the scenario.

The sample scenario is specifically designed for conventions (Ryan used the word "promotional" where the word "sample" is more appropriate), so it's not intended for Automa. You could house-rule something Automa related to try it if you'd like.

Would you recommend it as "Scenario 0" for the campaign? does it go well with the campaign flow (more upgrades, etc)?

It's a neat scenario, but it serves a specific purpose: It lets us show what The Rise of Fenris feels like at conventions without spoiling the campaign. So you can certainly play it at home if you want, and it doesn't contradict the story, but it isn't necessary at all.

Hi Israel. It's a fun scenario! and I'm sure we'll put together Automa rules at some point. We've been busy busy and just didn't have the time to tweak and test (you all know how we like to tweak and test).

We would likely want to have the Automa run a bit different, perhaps having it try and nab the stars you placed on the board and giving it $5 for each one.

In the meanwhile, if you come up something, I'll enjoy giving it try.

It was a really simple way to twist the rules for a 2 player game. It made the game faster at the beginning, but still required strategic planning in order to get the most bang out of the rebuild tokens. We were able to play two games back to back in an evening. It was really nice to be able to get more double actions more often and especially for resource costs that were outside of the territory.
