The instruction manual just says to punch the holes out. So I take one of the pegs meant to hold the gears in place, and try to punch one out. It ends up tearing the back of the board. I try a different hole. Tears the back of the board even more.

Am I just gonna end up with a heavily damaged board just trying to assemble it? Should I just return this now?

I assembled two boards for Tzolk’in and had no problem. Are you sure you pushed those circles into good direction? Do you examined if holes and punches were made properly?

In the end it’s just a back of the board.
