No! I thought the game was scheduled for October. Now the FFG page says: "Expected at FFG: January 2008". Nooo! soblue

Did FFG make an announcement at GenCon about when the game is to be released? Looking at the images and reading through the GenCon thread I got the impression the game was ready to hit the shelves.

Please let this be a mistake.

That will be two years from when Excelsior lost the license. Oh well, guess it sitting around dying can happen with any compnay

I wonder if they moved it to tie in with the movie release? Maybe they wanted that added free advertiase and didn't want to blaze the way.

A forum poster at FFG's site said the paintmasters were sent back to China after GenCon. Not sure what a paintmaster is, but it's the only reason I've heard/seen/read so far for the delay...

I suspect they are going to hold off release of the game until the movie hits the streets.

Unfortunately, based on what I have seen from the trailers, this movie will not be very good, and the hype that FFG is hoping to cash in on may never materialize.

I'm just guessing here, but I believe a paintmaster is a figure that's painted to be used as a painting guide for the regular figure painters.
I'm also thinking that one of the MC demo guys from FFG at Gencon that I talked to had painted up some of the figures to be used as paintmasters.

I'd recommend checking the FFG release page before posting to ask others.

http://www.fantasyflightgames.com/productsrelease.html

According to the most recent update it is expected at FFG April 2008, which would (assuming they meet the release date) mean a street date of sometime early May. Given their history I'd probably expect a Gen Con release for this.

Geez, why cant they just do the Duke Nukem and say "When it's done". Delaying the release for months and months and months is not exactly winning you new customers...

Anyway, I'm an MC fanboy, I'll wait.

Looks like end of May for the release, according to one site that I've seen. Sound like (according to the guys over at OgreCave.com) that there were some packaging issues regarding the boosters. Not sure if that's lead to the end of May scenario or if that's going to mess that date up...

Anyone heard anything else? I didn't see anything here, but you know how that goes...

I've just seen over at Potomac that it's been delayed again - till the end of June, according to them. I did hear that there was a major (?) snafu with the company that's packaging the boosters. Apparently, their idea with "random sorting" didn't jive with FFG and what we'd consider "industry standards" so they had to go back to be fixed. It sucks that the delay has been this bad, but it would suck more to buy a box of boosters only to get a VERY small sampling of the whole set...

Now maybe I'll have more money saved up to get it!

(Edit: Checked with FFG's site - and yes, it's officially delayed)
