~11er~and~Betterer~4~

Introduction

This game is part of a series to make the standard Perfect 11 set more balanced and interesting.

Past games in this series include:
11er and Better 3
11er and Better 2 - Good wins!
11er and Betterer
I used to be perfect; now I'm even better.

The last run was pretty awesome, and there has been a single change to the set.

Evil  Roles

1 Brutal Witch Wolf: Each night, the Brutal Witch wolf may target another player to roleblock them. If that player is the seer, priest, hunterguard or the cursed expert sorcerer, that player's night action is canceled. The only indication that a player has that they were targeted is if their view fails to return a result. Cannot target the same player two nights in a row. On death, the Brutal Witch Wolf has a mandatory brutal.
1 Normal Wolf: Standard wolf.

1 Cursed Expert Sorcerer: Each night, the Cursed Expert Sorcerer may target another player and will learn that player's exact role, including if that player is brutal and if they are the tinker or the white hat. On N0, the Cursed Expert Sorcerer will get a view of the Brutal Witch Wolf. If the Cursed Expert Sorcerer is the target of the nightkill, there will be no kill, and the Cursed Expert Sorcerer will lose their viewing power and become a werewolf. (They will still get that night's view, however.) After promotion, the Cursed Expert Sorcerer counts for parity, is in wolf chat, and can help select the nightkill, but has no other powers.

Good Roles:

1 Priest: Each night, the priest may view a dead player and will receive exact information about that player's role, including if that player was brutal or the tinker. However, the Priest cannot distinguish between the starting normal wolf and a promoted Cursed Expert Sorcerer.
1 Alignment Seer: Each night, the seer may view a target player for their alignment. The tinker will be viewed as "evil". The Seer gets a N0 view of a random good player.
1 Hunterguard: Standard parity hunter power. Additionally, each night may choose one other player to protect. If that player is the target of the wolves, there will be no kill and this power will be lost, but the Hunterguard is not informed that the power has been lost. May protect the same player on consecutive nights and may protect self.
5 Villagers

Attributes:

There will be 3 attributes in this game. They will be distributed to the good players by the mod on N0. Players will not know what attributes they have.

Brutal - Given to one of the Seer, Priest, or Hunterguard – This player must kill another player on death.
TinkerGiven to a randomly selected good role besides the seer – If the seer views this player, the seer will see “evil”.
White HatGiven to a randomly selected villager – When this player dies, their role will be revealed on death.

Brutal Rules:

The Seer, Priest, Hunterguard, and Brutal Witch Wolf will all have brutal orders. However, only the Brutal Witch Wolf and the role with the Brutal attribute will actual have the brutal power. The Seer, Priest, Hunterguard, and Brutal Witch Wolf will have 1st and 2nd brutal choice orders. When a brutal player dies, the target of the 1st brutal order will die unless they are already dead (only possible if there is a brutal chain), in which case the target of the 2nd brutal order will die. The Seer, Priest, and Hunterguard will all have these orders, but the orders will work for only one of them.

All brutals are mandatory. If a brutal player dies without a valid order in place, a random player on that player's team will be killed.

Tiebreaking Rules

The nature of this set makes a LHLV race somewhat more likely than in many other sets. Because LHLV races generally depend on people's RL rather than in-game skills, a new tiebreaking rule has been implemented: In the event of a tie, the final tallies from each previous day will be examined, and the total number of votes that each tied player has had in final tallies during the game will be added to their total. If this total is also tied, ties will be broken with LHLV.

The goal of this tiebreaking method is to reward people who have avoided suspicion throughout the game.

Changes from Last Game:
A new tiebreaking method has been implemented to make LHLV situations less random.

Differences Compared to 9-player game

The 9-player set (Wolf/Wolf/Sorc vs. Seer/Hunter/Priest/Villager x3) is used a point of comparison for balance, since it is regarded as a well-balanced set.

The biggest difference here is that good has an extra mislynch compared to the 9-player game. This potentially makes for a more relaxed set. Good has stronger overall specials, with the addition of the brutal and the Hunterguard's protection power, and has a bit more info with the presence of a white hat.

On the other hand, evil has also been strengthened significantly. Evil now has a brutal, a blocking power, and the Sorcerer's power is greatly increased. There is also the possibility of a 3rd wolf. Good must also contend with the presence of an unaware tinker confounding the seer's views. In general, it is believed that this set balances similarly to the 9er.

Other Stuff

No out of game promises, threats, blackmail, negotiations, predictions, or other such shenanigans. That includes you, fugue.
No out of game communication.
No personal attacks.
If you deliberately take offence at something innocuous because you have a personal agenda, please reconsider. Guilt-tripping other people is cruel; most people here are playing for fun and are amiable people, please don't darken the thread with needless strife.
If you have a problem with the attitude or play of another player and you cannot quickly resolve it in thread, please talk to me in modchat rather than escalate matters.
Please apologize when you've offended someone, even if you can't see why what you said would cause offense. You can at least be sorry that someone is upset.
Do not swear at other players. If you swear, you will get a warning. If you ignore the warning, something bad will happen to you.
Play to win the game.
No direct quoting from Cassandra.
No hard, artificially assisted encryption.
Balance not guaranteed.
Post or be replaced.
No deleting posts. Small edits only, and please explain them.
Ask mod questions in red or some other easy-to-see color.
All-claims are not against the mod's intention for the game.
I do not believe in deleting game chats. If there are things you don't want someone to read after the game don't post them in chat.
No zombie posts.
No posting during the no posting period, especially the one before night action deadline and dawn (I hate dawn snipes).
Geekmail for orders is okay.
No size 0 or white font.
Keep your nose clean.
Don't do drugs.
Abide by rule 13 and the TwoMil Werewolf Code.
I am a potato.

TwoMil Werewolf Code

1. Don't be a jerk.
2. If someone is a jerk to you, forgive them.
3. If someone points out that you're being a jerk, stop being a jerk.
4. You sound more offensive to other people than you do in your own head.
5. Since #4 is the case, you should stop antagonizing people way before you think you've reached the limit for doing so.
6. Other people makes mistakes, and so do you, so you should help the other person learn to do better in the future instead getting angry with them.
7. This is just a game. There's no need to get worked up over it.
8. Other people on your team have worked hard at trying to win this game. Don't poop on their efforts.
9. It's more important to be friends with someone than it is to win an argument in the game.
10. A game which is not both won and lost by friends is a failed game.
11. Always play to win.

The game will be scheduled once full. A PM will be sent out when the game is full to make sure everyone is ready to play. Thanks.

The goal of this tiebreaking method is to reward people who have avoided suspicion throughout the game.

To be clear, will this take place starting on D2? Or only if we get to a LHLV race toward the end?

For example, say on D1 I have 1 vote on me, and 2mil has 0.

D2 is a tie between me and 2mil. LHLV tiebreaker would lynch 2mil, but do I get lynched instead because I had more votes D1?

Starting on D2, this applies, yes.

The Cassandra Automatic Vote Tally System

Your Moderator has enabled the Cassandra Automatic Vote Tally system
for this game. In order for it to function correctly, your votes will
need to be formatted correctly. The following rules will explain what
you will need to do:

Players
1. All votes must be bolded

2. The entire vote statement must be bolded and enclosed in brackets:
[vote jmilum]

3. If your game allows, and you [vote nightfall] your vote will
be locked. Your moderator may have disabled nightfall votes.

4. Vote tallies will be automatically posted to the game thread
regularly if the tally has changed. The Tally and Vote Logs (for each
game day) are also available on the Cassandra game page.

5. If your vote is not counted be sure to check the Vote Log page and
see if it was marked invalid and why.

6. Case does not matter and simple typos will not cause the vote to fail.

7. You may [vote no lynch] if your game allows it.

8. Non voting players will be listed in the tallies. This will only be
correct if the Moderator notes which players have been killed (see below)

9. Editing a vote post will invalidate the vote and it will not be counted.

Moderators
1. The moderator will need to post [Dawn] when the day begins
(after the night results are posted) and [Dusk] when the lynch
deadline has passed and the day is over. Votes will not be counted
after [Dusk] has been posted. They will be registered again
after [Dawn] is next posted.

2. You may include a day number in the dawn and dusk post for
informational purposes, but it will not be used by the system.
Cassandra will increment an internal counter each time it sees
[Dawn] no matter what day is shown in a dawn post (i.e.
[Dawn 3] the three is allowed but ignored)

3. After dusk has been posted, the Moderator may go to the game page
on Cassandra to request a Final Tally to be posted before the normal
scan period has elapsed (i.e. Game Y gets scanned at 45 min. after the
hour, if it lynches at 7pm the moderator may request a tally to be
posted from the game page before 7:45pm. it will also be posted
regardless of whether or not it has been changed since the last
posting) - Do this by clicking on the 'Force Vote Tally' link.

4. You will need to note which players were killed via the lynch or at night by
either posting [killed jmilum] in the thread, or by going to the game
page and editing the player list. When posting in the thread, be sure to post
[dusk] before posting the lynch kill, and post [dawn] before
posting the night kill.
Example:
A. lynch time has passed so post [dusk]
B. goto the game page and select a final tally to be posted
C. check the final tally and post [killed melsana]
D. after the night deadline has passed post [dawn]
E. post the night kill with [killed kima]

Your Moderator has chosen to use the Longest Held Last Vote method for a tiebreaker - This is just for Cassandra system, and there may be a different tiebreaker specified by your Moderator in the ruleset.
Your Moderator has chosen to allow Nightfall votes.
Your Moderator has chosen to allow No Lynch votes.
