I have never been to Shikoku, but apparently it is famous for udon.

Wikipedia wrote:

Sanuki udon (讃岐うどん) is a type of udon noodle most popular in the Shikoku region, but is now easily found throughout the neighboring Kansai region and much of Japan. It is characterized by its square shape and flat edges. Many udon shops now specialize solely in sanuki udon, and are usually identified by the text "sanuki" in hiragana (さぬき) appearing in the name of the shop or on the sign.

It is usually served as noodle soup, and was originally popularized in the Kagawa Prefecture of Japan. The broth is made from a type of dashi which varies in strength and flavor across Japan.

What's the exact procedure here? Do it all here and adjust the spreadsheet afterwards? Adjust the spreadsheet ourselves while we are bidding? Announce every move here?

I bid $65 on Duogo.

-----

Also I don't quite understand what "Tile upgrades in 1889 are semi-restrictive". Is talking about after the yellow tiles?

So we'll announce bids, buys and passes here and add relevant information to the spreadsheet at the same time (it looks like you're fine).

I'm still fairly new myself, but I think this is referring to which tiles can be upgraded. In 1889, to upgrade a tile, the company must be able to trace an unblocked path from a station of that company to some track on the new tile (even if it could not reach it with the trains that the company has).

1830 upgrades can be loose and confusing due to how the rules are written back in those days. so one interpretation is you can build destructive tracks given as long as you have one trace into that tile over tracks and backtrack. in which the game could become quite depressing and unplayable.

simply just agree on no backtracking that would be ok

at the current rate there would be one player able to fully float a company in SR1.

this 1889 thing looks interesting

Pass.

All privates are sold. I think I begin the stock round. I buy 1 share of Iyo and par it at $70. I will auto purchase Iyo until it floats.

I tried to update the spreadsheet but it isn't working as expected. You'd think in the par price row is where you would enter par. But it didn't do any calculations when I did.

I bought Uwajima and set Par at 65.

I also updated the spreadsheet for Mark and put both companies markers on the stock market. Can someone verify that I did that all correctly.

I think that Lychenus should be next, because Deryl bought the Ehime and triggered the sale of the remaining privates.
