I was interested in this game, but I wanted to know more about it.
Then I got to play it last week-end on a prototype from Funforge.. and I loved it.
It's kind of a "7 Wonders meets Scythe" developpement game (not really a Civilisation game..).
But here I am : which version shall I get ?
I'm a wooden cube pusher, and not really interested in the minis. However, I got to play the token-version, and I have to admit that I I struggled sometimes to retrieve my explorers.. That would be easier with the Minis... but should I pay more for some plastic bits which will remain grey ?
So here's my solution. Get the basic edition, and upgrade it myself.
May I present you my warlords :
Meet my explorers :
And some soldiers :
For the outpost, you can choose from temples, compact buildings, hut or so many others.
A faction has 12 figures + 2 outpost, and you only need 5 set in different colors (1 for each player, whatever the faction).
So, for less than 10€, you can make your own "Monumental wooden edition" at home. At least I will.

That's one solution, you could also buy plastic standees and insert the tokens in them so they stand upright. I think that will be my plan. I like the art so for me the standees will be sufficient.
