Working on going through and putting together a rules reference guide for myself, similar to the mission summary PDFs that are in the file section, and ran into some wonky stuff in the Animus capstone mission.

The setup instructions tell you to seed Master and Minion B archetypes into the Nexus decks, and eight Minion A archetypes in the Clock.

There is no defined Minion B in the scenario, just a Minion A. Likewise, there are instructions for what to do when you investigate a Minion A card, but nothing about B after the setup information.

Given the number of Nexuses and that Minion A is listed as being (1-14), it seems like that Minion B ought to be A instead?

Also: The structure begins with "Corner Animus Threats". This... doesn't seem quite right, as Corner only cares about Master cards. Should this be "Corner Mother Gaia" instead, or should this have been "Cleanse Animus Threats"?

Looks like you're probably right about the Set up being mislabeled. It does make more sense if it reads "Seed the master and 6 minion A archetypes..."

Corner is probably the right structure for this mission. You're going up against Mother Gaia and you win if she is sacrificed. The Corner structure allows you to go to Sanctify if you win vs. a Minion A, which will make it easier to corner the master.

I'm not sure that's a good reason to assume Corner is correct in this case; any structure that isn't Withstand allows you to go to Sanctify if you win vs. a Minion A.

The more important consideration here may be that despite Animus Threats being a subject for the structure line that doesn't line up well with just Mother Gaia as the goal (there's plenty more threats here, after all), there wasn't a structure card provided that allows for the Cleanse condition (close all Nexuses) but not the more harsh lose condition.

Replace the setup text with this (corrections are highlighted):

Quote:
Corner Mother Gaia Wherever There's Trouble As Things Get Strange. Seed the master and minion A archetypes, then shuffle 8 archetype cards into the clock. Put the nexus Shelter in the center of the table, and arrange the other nexuses in a circle around it. Put saint pawns at the nexus Shelter. Shuffle the true threats other than Mother Gaia into an Animus true threats pile and set it by the mission.
