Hello together,

I have a question about a normal game, Heroes vs Overlord.

When the Overlord has a card (e.g. Reinforce) or the encouter let him reinforce some monsters and the group limit of the monster group is reached, is it possible to take the actual monster away and put it in the reinforcement place ?

I know, that when you are using the app, that no monsters will be "replaced" when the group limit is reached, but I can't find some information about it for a game Heroes vs. Overlord.

I hope you can help me. TY

Edit: Maybe we have to move this thread to the rules section.

Same rules apply from the app. Unless killed by a hero or an OL ability card, monsters can't be removed to be "reinforced", as the number of monsters wouldn't change.

A related question: am I right in understanding that the instruction to "ignore group limits" means to ignore the group sizes on the back of the monster cards (ie. for 2-hero, 3-hero and 4-hero groups) but that the number of monsters on the board at once can never exceed the number of monsters in the box itself?

In other words, the box comes with 2 ettins so there will never be more than 2 ettins on the table at once, even if you are ignoring group limits?

Yes, that's exactly how it works.
