GCOM’s Winter Games Fest (WGF), at the VFW 160, has been carefully crafted to be a truly great open gaming experience. We don’t just put you in a large room and force you to organize games on your own. We provide optional demos, learning, and coached games when available, and plenty of open space for playing whatever you feel like at the moment, so it’s easy to play your favorites and learn new ones, without the pressure of tourney play.
There is a list of games that folks want to play and might be willing to teach, so you and other gamers can add your own games, and find and join enthusiasts in long format, new, less popular or unusual games. A wide variety of table signage simplifies inviting compatible players. The con’s open gaming library will be provided by GCOM . The con’s vendor, Canton Games, specializes in demoing the games they sell, and will be coming to WGF to do just that.
A huge Bring & Buy auction store will provide hours of browsing for great new and used game deals, and a super easy way for you to find new homes for your dusty games.
Admission is only $10 per person per day, $5 for ages 13-17, and free (with paid adult) for 12 and under.
PRE-REGISTRATION IS ONLY $25 FOR ALL 3 DAYS! PRE-REGISTER NOW!
PLEASE NOTE ATTENDANCE LIMITED TO 115 ATTENDEES, SO REGISTER EARLY!
Food will be available for purchase from the VFW, and there are some great carryout and delivery restaurants in the immediate area.
Please keep a look out for the weather as the facility may close. If the location does no refund then neither would the con. This is a small chance but still a risk.
Registration will be held near the hall entrance and clearly marked.
Parking is right outside the building and overflow parking is available in the Department of Transportation lot across the street. The overflow parking is a short walk up hill.
