I have a further question: As described in the example for the Guilds Panormum is referred to as a neighbouring city of Rome. But why? I count 3 teritorries that are lying between these two cities?
Thanks

Page 5 of rulebook...

Neighbouring territories: two territories located within a distance of 3.
Neighboring example. The distances from the yellow territory are shown: the red territories are more than 3 distances and so are NOT neighbouring the yellow one.

Thank You Nicola! But doesn't that mean that Panormum is more than 3 territories away and is not neighboring? Look at my picture. What do I miss??

Oh ?! Can't we cross the Messina straight landwise (between Scylla and Charybdis) ?
Rome --> Naples --> Calabria --> Palermo

I guess not, because there is no black linking line like you can find them for example between Korsika an Genua, between Rhodes(?) and Turkey and between the Danish Islands and Denmark.
