Would love to get hold of a copy and wondered if anyone knew of plans for another printing?

Double-O puts out a new run every few years. Email them now to get on the mailing list if you want one. It will probably be more expensive than you anticipate, however, due to the small scale nature of it.

I got one on the last print run and it was under $100, pretty reasonable for hand assembled xx.

East is east, and west is west, and if you take cranberries and stew them like applesauce, they taste much more like prunes than rhubarb does.

Agree with all previous posts.... in addition, you might want to GM Lonny and see if he has any copies left from the last run.

My favorite 18xx game for six players is two games of 1846 with three players each.

Given how popular the game is, and given that the designers (especially Lonny Orgler) are 18xx enthusiasts who participate widely on BGG, it would be odd if there were not new copies available at some time in the future, barring some catastrophic event.

Today I emailed Helmut Ohley <hohley@aol.com> (based on the email on the contact part of the Double O website and got this response:

Quote:
Chris,
Thank You for interest in my games,
now you are on the interest-list for the games!
1880, i hope i have good news in 2019, latest in 2020 (i hope!).
Best
Helmut
