Lol - card art of the night parrot could be pitch black with just a glowing eye. When played, turn the lights off and play the rest of the game in the dark.

Should totally make a Geeklist for this so people can vote which birds they think are best for a potential expansion.

Would be interesting to figure out how many cards would potentially be in an expansion too, to come up with a tangible expansion deck to suggest!

I'm kind of curious to see what sort of power you would give to the Australia Blue-Headed Murder Ostrich. Something like it gives you 30 points, but kicks every other bird in its row to death.

If you mean Emu, then I'd imagine a good ability would involve it looking after more eggs than its own (as the males look after other emus eggs as well as their own).

Something like:
When activated you may move up to two eggs from other bird cards to this card.

(And make their nest a star one)

No. He means Blue Headed Murder Ostrich- www.boardgamegeek.com/article/31007050#31007050
Ability involves some sort of Player Elimination I would think.

Ah the Cassowary!! Of course.
Probably something like a high point value card that removes all other birds from that habitat when played. Lol

Don't fail me Australia, where are your venomous birds? I know there has to be some lol.

Not venomous, but an adult cassowary will disembowel you.
Just like the kangaroo.

Wattlebird, malleefowl, boobook, spinebill, cockatiels, at least 3 of the bowerbird family, gang-gang cockatoo, magpie, brush turkey, brolga, budgerigar, black swan, fairy penguin, tawny frogmouth, crimson rosella... There are plenty to choose from.

As a bonus, with an Australian expansion, when someone does something questionable or silly, the other players will be expected to call them Galah!!

Striated Pardalote

This interesting little bird could imitate the battery alarm in the electrical substation where I was working on Yorke Peninsula and had plenty of people working there fooled

Not sure if I missed it, but what about the Butcher Bird? They skin snakes, frogs and who knows what else on anything they can!

And they will hop up on your kitchen bench for a bit of cheddar, should you accidentally leave a “platter trail” through your open door...

I live in Canberra, and I've come to love our local birdlife.
On any given day we'll have a dozen or more species on or near our feeder. Here's my backyard wishlist for an Aussie card set (some have already been suggested):

My favorite first, the Galah!

Crimson Rosella

Eastern Rosella

Sulphur Crested Cockatoo

King Parrot

Rainbow Lorikeet

Gang Gang

Superb Parrot (a bit of a rare treat, this one)

Red Rump

Little Corella

Kookaburra

Butcher Bird

Currawong

Magpie

Magpie Lark

Wattle Bird

Indian Myna

Crested Pigeon

I could add more, but I'm probably pushing my luck as it is whistle
