We've won every month except for may and I'm wondering if we're having it a bit too easy, and how our board compares to others...I was almost disappointed in June as I felt it was too easy - how do other people's boards compare?Spoiler (click to reveal)as of the end of June we have one faded city outside the original coda region (Los Angeles, red is coda) and have three permanent roadblocks stopping coda from getting to black. We've got one city that is a 3 and all the rest are 1 or nothing. The medic and colonel have one scar each.
If you're interested, our upgrades at the end of June were:Spoiler (click to reveal)3 research stations, 2 military bases, 3 roadblocks, black fully upgraded, yellow with one upgrade, and a few character upgrades. We have been using the scientist and the quarantine specialist with the rivals relationship, and the ops analyst with local pressure (wish we'd given it to the qs). The quarantine specialist can look at the infection deck. The colonel seemed useless (we lost when we played him) and we haven't used the soldier.
We were obsessive about avoiding outbreaks.
What do you think? Are we set coasting on easy street or is this typical?

Sounds like you're enjoying some combination of luck and skill that's left you a bit ahead of the curve. The good news is that neither guarantees that the state of affairs will continue - the game changes enough over time that, while certain core skills will continue to be useful, being good in June is no guarantee that you'll still play optimally in July. And, of course, luck is notoriously fickle, and can easily turn against you.
If memory serves, at the end of June, we had only lost May (both games), had more rioting cities than you, 3 research centers, 4 or 5 military bases (maybe even 6 - it was either June or July that we completed our military network), no scars and I think all diseases (except black COdA) at level 2. We never made any permanent roadblocks, preferring to keep the freedom of movement for ourselves rather than guarantee stopping the spread of COdA.

- Red was our CoDA and I believe it is the easiest to keep in check. We perm. roadblocked the Pacific side and only had 1 non-red city become faded during the midgame (April to Sept-ish)

It takes one game to turn your city situation into a nightmare. At your point we had zero scars I think but more rioting city and a level 4. That level four was in like March and stayed that way forever. It was Essen, so I assumed they just stayed in and played board games to avoid Faded. But eventually fate will turn against you I am sure.
Are you having fun? That's the important thing.

- Lol. Yes we're having fun.

- I wish we had a few more military bases. We basically didn't build any in April because they seemed useless. Ha, You live and learn.

- Yeah I think we'll have a few more as things progress. It will be hard to road block with LA being faded.
