In "Katamino 12" there IS a Straight and Plus Penta (the game name for each 5sq shape). The single/double padding squares have been removed.
K12 Solo Puzzles
96 Pentamino Challenge. The matrix of pieces to be used still exists. Where K10 uses 3-10 pentas with padding, K12 uses 4-11 pentas.
Solo 1. The 96 combinations above, only form the challenge and players can choose random combinations.
Solo 2. The Challenge grid is 5x12. By ignoring this grid, the 12 pentas will also fit to make 4x15, 3x20 or 6x10 grids
Solo 3. Use 1 penta as a template/goal. Use 9 of 11 remaining pentas to make a large sized copy. (3 solutions exist for each penta shape).
Solo 4. Freeplay - pentas can also form animals (leave 1sq space for eye),or geometric shapes. 4 guides are given as a starter.
