Subject: Repainting the miniatures

My copy of Mage Knight: Ultimate Edition arrived today and it took me about five seconds to realize, that the miniatures are quite suboptimal.
Did anyone already do a repaint? There's an old thread about repainting the miniatures from Mage Knight Board Game, but I don't know, if the miniatures are the same.

WashingtonDo you need more card ideas for the D&D Adventure System games? - There's no need to remove the old paint from the miniatures. I just painted over the parts I didn't like and hit them up with some spray lacquer (Citadel Purity seal) and it worked fine.

thank you, that sounds indeed very simple. I'll upload some pictures, when finished.
*edit:
ignore the white "dust" on the painted miniatures, I had problems with my varnish spray.
