On the Lucky Ivan scenario, the map 2 coordinates W6 and KK6 are listed as establishing the southern edge of the game board. Based on the starting position of the Russian units (they begin in "any Balka hex on SE corner of map") and German units (along the North map edge which appears to equate with the KK rows of hexes), this "southern" edge appears to more accurately describe the western board edge. Is this an error or do I need to return to middle school to relearn the four cardinal directions?

Hi Edward,

Hex W6 and KK6 establish the North map edge and the play area extends down the W and KK hexlines to the South map board edge.
Whenever you see South edge, West edge etc. the play area extends to that board edge.

Thanks for the quick reply Shayne! If W6 and KK6 establish the north edge of the board, doesn't that locate the balka in the southwest corner of the map? Also, can the Russian units start anywhere within the balka (for example hexes W21 or X22)?
