I'm an amateur still and just follow the guides FFP provides and with sooo many minis to paint I thought I would start a thread to keep up my motivation and maybe find some inspiration to stray from those guides. This weekend I got 3 groups done from the core.

Finished the core set monsters today and played a vanilla fofo game. This is a way more challenging core set. Tengu are no joke!

I chose to do Allies next as I really needed the help in the dungeon. Unfortunately, the "Elven Flesh" I have is bad, so I didn't do touch up or varnish on them, but they are table ready at least!

They died horribly, but did contribute to my first win.

I think I will move on to Temple of Shadows next.

Temple of Shadows complete

Still need to detail these guys a bit, they took a while, wish I would have put their arms on after painting.

These guys are vicious, I had 4 remains in play darkness cards the first time and spawned 3 of them.

I’ve only done one so far but I love how he turned out.

I hope I get the upload/placement alright. I think this is my first image.

Love the multi-colored scales. This is something I would not have thought to do myself. I tend to have a dorsal color blending to a lighter ventral color.

I like the blank yellow eyes. They really stand out from under darkness of the helmet.

I guess I have thing for pupil-less eyes. Even from the thumbnail the white eyes are very striking.

This is the typical style portrayed for magical beings. Very common, and I agree they both look great.
