I am looking to hosting a few games one evening with friends. None of them have ever played Five Points so I will need to learn it myself and then teach them. They are all experienced gamers. So how much time will it take to teach and then play this game to completion?

An hour or less.

The rules are straightforward and modest. The gameplay is pretty smooth. Turns go quickly. And there are several endgame conditions. The game can end sooner than you expect.

This is not a 2 hour game. Not even close, not even with 5p.

I like this one and think it's grossly under-rated. It is, however, a vicious area majority game. This is not a do-your-own-thing eurogame. But I like it. The production is lousy, but the game is quite good, if you like lots of player interaction.
