If you are lost in time and space and you fail the test on your card. It counts as one action. Does that mean that we can have a second try at a test on a different card.

Thanks.

Yes, its an action to attempt to return from lost in time and space.
So assuming you are not stunned in your turn, you can try to escape twice.

Its like a stun on steroids, but at least you get to place your investigator anywhere on the board when you finally do escape.

Being able to place your investigator anywhere on the board is a very powerful side effect. There were many situations where I felt that being Lost in Time and Space actually ended up being a good thing in terms of move efficiency.

I wasted three actions trying to break its effect once.

I suppose not absolute a different card, since you could get the same card at a 1/5 chance(same as spells)
