Of course

I would suggest Planszomania (planszomania.pl) - they have Terraforming Mars and lots of english version of games: https://www.planszomania.pl/strategiczne/10420/Terraforming-...

They have shop in north-west side of Warsaw: https://www.planszomania.pl/jak-trafic/

Buying English editions in Poland is quite expensive : /

You can buy Terraforming Mars in Warsaw here:
https://www.planszomania.pl/strategiczne/10420/Terraforming-...

The same game in Polish (in the same shop):
https://www.planszomania.pl/strategiczne/10340/Terraformacja...

Compare prices:
229PLN and 119PLN (yay!)

Good website to check prices of board games in Poland is http://i-szop.pl

Good luck! ; )

No it isn't. Prices are roughly the same. Please don't mislead the OP. Terraforming Mars costs the same (high) price all over the world. It's solely the PL edition that for mysterious reasons is ridiculously cheap, so a bit unfortunate example. Obviously, localized editions tend to go a bit cheaper (otherwise, it would be a hard sell).

To be fair, Terraforming Mars is a notorious example of a game much more expensive in its English edition than the Polish one. Usually the difference is not so pronounced....

That is not ture. In a lot of cases the Polish language edition of western blockbuster games are cheaper than the english originals.

For example Labyrinth: The War on Terror, 2001 – ?. Polish version was 119 PLN, while the english version in the same store( https://www.rebel.pl/product.php/1,728/20122/Labyrinth-The-W... ) was 209 PLN, almost twice more expensive. Polish Labyrinth is a very poor translation, so I was thinking of getting the english language version. But the cost difference made me reconsider alltogeather.

Polish 1989: Dawn of Freedom was also much cheaper than its english language counterpart.

Let's be honest, it is more than just Terraforming Mars game. With enough time, I could find many more examples. From what I heard, it is similar in Russia or Estonia - local language games often end up quite a bit cheaper than the english originals.

The premise was that EN versions are "expensive" here in PL. They're not. They cost roughly the same (or cheaper) compared to the rest of the world. It's the "original" version price that is the basis for comparison, not localized one.

When it comes to localized versions, though, obviously, as a rule of thumb, most of them tend to be cheaper, because the printing/components can be arranged locally (and sometimes cheaper counterparts are picked) and/or the profit margins are tailored to local market. Without that, there would be little incentive for both publisher and buyer to be interested. Noone argues with that.

The TM example is just very recognizable one (known game, huge price difference).
