So. Occasionally it does snow in hell.

If you read Dante, the ninth (and last) circle of hell is a great ice plain.

Ever since I first read that (in translation of course) I've always had a different perspective on phrases like a cold day in hell.

To make that a little less off topic, there's even a railway game about circles of hell, Hell Rail. Not an MW game though.

Also, I think Rick Soued deserves credit. There was no reason he needed to come to the table, and it's much more of high road move than I think a lot of people were willing to believe he would make.

Let's support EGG and back that nice, new, shiny AoS!

I didn't realize the Kickstarter campaign had started, so in a way this is the best advertisement it could receive.

It's great that a huge cloud of negativity has been removed for everyone; for EGG, for Martin, for Age of Steam, for fans of AoS, for fans of EGG, and for fans of Martin's games.

This time, everyone wins.

Agreed, this is probably going to boost AoS and maybe also On Mars.

I like EGG a lot, have backed their games in the past and will be 100% backing On Mars, but really just wanted to not be around this whole debacle. Because of that I was skipping Age of Steam. I’m really glad to see it resolved and have backed Age of Steam now too!

I am very glad this has been resolved. Age of Steam is one of my favorite train games and so are many other Martin Wallace games. I never really had issues with EGG, but the resolution between the parties now makes it a lot easier to back AoS and not have to choose sides. Count me in!

I already have Age of Steam and even though it may be my favourite game I see no need to back the campaign for another copy. I'm surprised people feel the need to own it twice. And even with this new agreement between all parties, my opinion of EGG hasn't changed. The dodgy behaviour included more than this Age of Steam debacle.

On the plus side, the Kickstarter will probably push AoS back up the BGG rankings and into the Top 100 where it belongs. (At least above Steam and Railroad Tycoon please. devil)

I already own multiple editions and a million maps, so definitely don't need this Kickstarter, but I'm glad to hear this resolved in a way Mr. Wallace is happy with. AoS is my all-time favorite game and it is nice to have at least some of the bad air around it dissipating.

Happy to hear it, Martin. I didn't feel comfortable backing it because of the whole controversy. Now that we have your blessing, I'm all for it.

Hmm, I wasn't planning to back the kickstarter but now I'll have to consider it. Only problem is, I already have two copies of AoS and Steam and all the maps through 2011....

Martin, congratulations on your good decision.
Every time I saw STEAM, I felt really bad.

So, does your name come into the Kickstarter project?

As a game designer, can I print on a box or an internal component?
