I'm interested in options for precision Middara dice (either unpolish plastic or even better CNC aluminum).

It looks like the creators have an aluminum set from Gravity Dice which are shown and discussed in this update:

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/succubuspublishing/midd...

After praising how awesome they are (and stating that their "selling point is that they are 'truly random' in that there are no air pockets within the material to cause any uneven rolling"), the creators then say "The problem with these dice are that they are expensive. There's a chance that we could offer them in the future if there is enough interest and if we can possibly get that price down with enough orders or by using another supplier. But we'll see!"

Any update on this? When I looked a the Gravity Dice website and did some math in my head, it seemed a set would cost at least as much as the entire core game.

I'm also concerned about the numbers and symbols (or even their anodized colors) wearing off with use. Can the team comment on their durability in that regard?

The original campaign offered etched dice, but those just appeared to be regular polished plastic dice with fancy (read: busy and therefore harder to read) indicia on their faces. I'm more interested in dice which are simple, easy to read, and roll as fair as possible.

Basically, I'd like to discuss options for sourcing some precision dice via either:

1. precision aluminum dice similar to those shown in the KS update referenced

2. or if that's not feasible, unpolished precision plastic dice for use with Middara (with sharp edges like Gamescience or Casino dice). Since these are D6s, it should be somewhat easy: simply take plastic perfect cubes of the correct color, laser etch the correct symbols onto each face, and hand apply ink where necessary (and this last step could even be don't by the customer, as is often the case with Gamescience dice)

Looks like some custom precision plastic options could be ordered bulk from China, from somewhere like this:

https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/Custom-Precision-Casi...

And I think they offer inexpensive metal options along these lines as well, but it might be more difficult to get the dice colors right with metal, but I'm not sure...

We've had some options become available to us in the last couple months. We're going to see what we can come up with to offer these at an affordable price.

Nice, if there is an option for the metal dice ... I don't really care what the price is personally, Ill buy them. Sign me up coach!

Yeah, I definitely second this. I would really prefer to play the game with these and their availability would make things so much easier/better for me.

Thanks for the reply Brooklyn. Keep up all the great work; we're loving/appreciating it out here!

I would love a few extra sets of the basic dice. Personally I think they are fine and then players don't have to keep swapping dice around the table. The nature of the game seems to be that most players / monsters will be using similar dice colors.

Second this. Having a spare black die would be great when you dodge an attack that is empowered.
