Okay, it might be I`m just going out of my mind, or just plain dumb, but, for example, on the (E2) Escort Detection Chart, it says that when for instance you are prevously detected, add +1 to the roll, but wouldn`t that make detection for the enemy harder, because now instead of undetected on a roll of 8 or less, it becomes a roll of 9 or less?

So wouldn`t it have to be a -1 instead of a +1?

Or am I reading everything wrong?

Cheers

I think you misunderstood. The +1 is added to the number of your *die-roll,* not the table. The chance of Detection per the chart remains 8 or above, but your die-roll gets a +1 added to it, making detection more likely.

For instance, if you roll a "7" before the mod, you would be safe and undetected, but the same die roll after the mod would would be a 7+1, or "8," and you'd be caught.

Hope this helps.

Hey Hag,

Blake has it 100% correct. Look at the other DRMS as well...they apply the same logic.

Good luck and may your duds be few

Cheers, Greg

Yes, he is correct 100%

How could I be so dumb??

May your duds be few too..

Speaking about duds, I can`t remember having a torpedo detonating in my first two patrols, damn that 1-4 roll!

Don't be so hard on yourself! It's fine.

I won't even go into some of the dumb mistakes I've made in games before. It's okay...

Heh. Yeah, the duds really suck. I ran a patrol some months back where I had 14 duds out of a total loadout of 24. I was...disappointed.

And don't worry about your question appearing obvious; getting answers and other perspectives is what the Forums are for.

Weeelll, you could always try an S-boat. Those Mk 10 torpedoes will nearly always explode (if they hit). Of course getting into firing position in the first place is another story.. devil

Heh. I notice you never mention S-boats without using the "devil" emoji...
