For now I've tried only Nom 2 times and I feel that if I only lose one battle I lose precious skill points to make my character better. Is it correct that shorter bosses feel more difficult? Should I start with someone else?
Thanks!

Smack them enough in the ankles, and they'll fall over.

As for the OP's question, I'd say it depends on the encounters drawn (for progress, loot, and training), and how well you do. It is also much easier when you are running more than one Gearloc.

I think so, that shorter bosses are more difficult, as you have to be very specific in training your character. Once you know your character very well I would try to defeat a shorter boss....but the medium bosses are -in my opinion- more easy as the shorter bosses.
