As a Miniature painter I am getting somewhat worried as it appears that many bosses may come in 2 versions.
Most obvious is the basilisk that comes in a brown version and a turquoise version:

How is this for the other bosses? Would it be an option to have an add-on for extra minis for the bosses with very different colour schemes so you can have enough minis to represent the different boss versions .. and how expensive would that be?

If they don't offer a (boss) mini's add-on during the campaign, the chances are high that they will offer resin versions on their website, as they did so for a lot of the characters from their previous games.

If youwant to make it as interesting as possible try mixing very light normal pait with "andy warhol"-ish fluorescent paint and/or darker heat sensitive pait. it would really make the chamelion in the basilisk come alive...
