I know that if the target of a successful grenade attack leaves the card, the -4 grenade VOF marker is replaced by a -1 grenade miss VOF (6.2.2 Special VOF - grenade).

But what happens if it is the attacker who entirely retreats from his own card?
I just met the case in my current game. PLT HQ + 1 squad moved into the card on the previous turn in order to pick casualties; they survived superbly partly thanks to a smoke screen. With a lucky command draw, I decided to have the squad attempt to spot the enemy before leaving, which was successful with the help of an exhort command. Then the squad fired a rifle grenade, which resulted in a miss (the outcome is not relevant though for my question). Then both units retreated from the card with 2 move commands (or a PLT move).

I removed the S VOF as well as the PDF markers I had just placed but should I leave the grenade marker in place or should I remove it too?

Ok,thanks! That's what I did (with no consequence in this case as the Enemy fell back before the Combat Phase!)
